Handsent Terms of Service

Handsent sends personalized email from a Google account you connect to contacts you provide, tracks replies in the threads it created, and exposes an API. You operate it; you are the sender of every message.

You must be at least 18 and have authority to connect any Google account you use. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API keys secret. Handsent's access to your Google account is governed by the permissions you grant and by our Privacy Policy; you can revoke it at any time in your Google account settings.

You agree to use Handsent only to email people you have a lawful basis to contact, and to comply with all applicable laws and sender rules, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, the GDPR/UK GDPR where they apply, Google's Gmail Program Policies and sender guidelines, and Google Workspace or Gmail sending limits.

You must not use Handsent to:

• send unsolicited commercial email, or email to addresses obtained by harvesting, scraping or purchase;
• misrepresent who you are, use a misleading subject line, or omit a valid mailing address and a working way to unsubscribe;
• continue to email someone who has unsubscribed or asked you to stop;
• send malware, phishing, fraud, or content that is illegal or infringes others' rights;
• attempt to defeat the sending limits, suppression or compliance checks built into the service, or to access another workspace's data.

Handsent enforces caps, send windows, a required address and unsubscribe line, and automatic suppression of bounced and unsubscribed addresses. We may pause or terminate accounts that generate abuse complaints or reports, or violate this section.

You keep ownership of your contacts, templates and campaigns. You grant Buildnode the limited right to process them to provide the service. You are the controller of your contacts' personal data; Buildnode is a processor acting on your instructions. Our handling of Google user data is described in the Privacy Policy and complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Handsent is free during early access. If we introduce paid plans we will give at least 30 days' notice, and nothing you have already set up will stop working without notice.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Buildnode is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and its total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim (or CAD 100 if none).

You can stop using Handsent at any time and delete your workspace. We may suspend or terminate for breach of these terms, in particular section 3.
